Cambodian Children Orphanage for Living & Training

Cambodian Children orphanage for Living and Training was established on the 1st of January 2005, with Co-Founder by Cambodian and Dutch, We established CCOLT with the intent of saving vulnerable orphans from poverty, violence and children trafficking, discrimination, starvation, and slavery, to take part in the development of the country.

They will learn to how to help themselves and help to reduce poverty in the country, which is the target of the Royal Government of Cambodian. CCOLT will support and educate these children in order to implement their quality of life with dignity and respect, giving them understanding of children rights, and human rights. Currently, CCOLT feeds and houses 30 orphans.

There are 17 boys and 13 girls are under our responsibilities and however we are planning to supporting more children in future if we can get more fund from generous people. These kids were brought in from many poor provinces in Cambodia with highly evacuated the status of each family by our staff and Local Authority. CCOLT will continue to support them to study until they graduate college. When they graduate, we will help them find a job as well. This is our responsibility to these kids.

Mr.Thourn Sinan-The Executive committee Director who is taking care of all operations, finance and he also a top Leader of CCOLT, Cambodia. The rest of the Executive committee Members include Mrs.Tina Beekman Tolner-Director of COLT-HOLLAND and Vice Executive committee Director of CCOLT,Cambodia. She is Dutch as the main donor. Also with strongly support from, Mr. Menno Van Essen and Mr. Andre Ruys, from Netherland , and Mr. Robert Heiduczek, from Germany, are raising funds for CCOLT. We all work for CCOLT but we don’t take any salary – we volunteer to spend our time because we love these children and want to see them succeed.

We try our best to find enough funds from charitable people to support our children in order to avoid poverty, illiteracy, to keep CCOLT working forever to bring bright futures and help these kids accomplish their dreams. Besides feeding and housing of these 30 orphans, CCOLT has implemented other activities and project as follows:
*English Classes
*Computer Classes
*Sewing Class
*Handicraft Project
For neighborhood children with the total of 450 students

Vision:
CCOLT’s purpose is to build solidarity in society by abolishing discrimination against children. We want to make national and international populations aware of the values in Cambodian families by providing love to our children. We want to build a sustainable society for our developing country by educating them to care for their children instead of abandoning them. We strive to create strong families by empowering women through education, and building their confidence to become leaders in their society and culture.

Mission:
CCOLT’s mission is to work closely with children and citizens in the community and other vulnerable areas. We strive to provide them with the education and knowledge that will enable them to understand their equal rights, and will provide them with the resources for developing their lives.

Objectives:
Our objectives are to make a higher quality of life in underdeveloped areas by encouraging people to become positive members of society. We encourage them to be well behaved, educated, and honest. We want them to be able to take care of themselves and their families.

Program and major activities:
-Nutrition and Health Care
-Provide vocational Training and Skills
-Work to prevent child trafficking by integrating them into the educational system, in public school and extra at CCOLT classes.
