Our Angkor Hike and Bike Tour comprise a dynamic itinerary that combines exploration of the magnificent temples with cultural immersion and some soft adventures. Explore Siem Reap with your local guide that helps you connect and talk with the Cambodian people, as well as being a useful source of knowledge with regards to local culture and the country's fascinating yet sometimes astonishing history.

Explore the rustic beauty of Cambodia's countryside on two wheels and be rewarded with sprawling panoramas and sun sets. No trip to Siem Reap would be complete without some vigorous exploration of the Angkorian temples. Trek through the pristine forest and discover overgrown temples, demonstrating the masterful skill of the era.

On this Cambodia tour you will bike to the waters of the Tonle Sap Lake, and witness the impressive flooded forests and stilted houses of Kampong Phluck, a village where you will see houses on stilts that are submerged when the Tonlé Sap Lake extends. Spend an evening camping within the grounds of an ancient temple in our special tented accommodation. During the evening settle down in a cushioned den and watch a film shown on a projector.

This Siem Reap tour is a great introduction to the new centre of Cambodia, travelers will learn about the unique Khmer culture while being treated to spectacular sights and sceneries.
 
Day 1 – Arrival in Siem Reap (L/D)
Bayon bigExplore the local culture and traditions by biking alongside our local tour guide. This afternoon, set out on your first cycling adventure to explore the rural charms of the Cambodian countryside, passing through the Village of Chreav en-route to the Tonle Sap Lake. Weave your way through the dusty back roads to a small stilted hammock bar overlooking the rice fields, before proceeding to the seldom visited Phnom Krom hill.  Return back to hotel for refreshment then start tasting some Khmer cuisine at Khmer Kitchen restaurant.  Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 2 - Angkor Trekking (B,L,D)
Bayon bigAfter breakfast, the temple exploration begins with a trek through the dense jungle of the magnificent temples of Angkor. Construction of the temples is thought to have taken around thirty years of intensive labor. Trek through the forest towards the ancient city of Angkor Thom, where the mysterious faces of Bayon stare majestically in to the distance.

Lunch will be around the temple area.
Return to your hotel for some time at leisure before dinner at a delicious local restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 3 - Siem Reap - Phnom Kulen - Beng Mealea - Siem Reap (B,L,D)
T5596kgchamhis morning we take a short transfer by foot to the Phnom Kulen Hills, a sacred place where many Khmers like to hang out in the weekends, passing through local villages and field's en-route. Also, home to a waterfall where a refreshing dip will no doubt be appreciated. From here, trek east to Svay Leu Pagoda, passing through Cambodia's pristine jungle. Cycle south on less used roads to Beng Mealea, a relatively unexplored temple: a huge, sprawling complex that is an explorer's dream as most of the temple is covered in jungle and the crowds are nowhere to be seen. Continue back to Siem Reap for dinner at Nest Angkor Restaurant.
Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 4 - Siem Reap - Banteay Srei - Wat Roun (B,L,D)
5596kgchamAfter breakfast, we depart for Banteay Srey by bicycle. Banteay Srey remains the best preserved temple in Cambodia and offers stunning bass relief and other stone carvings. Learn about local communities along the way as your guide helps you interact with the local people. Visit the Landmine Museum which promotes mine awareness before arriving at the "gem" of the Angkor area, the pretty temple of Banteay Srey. From Banteay Srei take about 5km to Great design Khmer house , your home away from home for tonight. Set amidst a sea of rice fields an adventure style tented camp awaits, equipped with all the trimmings and complimented by a Khmer BBQ dinner and comfortable and stylish sitting areas.
Overnight at Bongthom house ( Khmer house)

Day 5 – Bongthom House - Phnom Bok - Tonle Sap - Siem Reap (B,L,D)
IMG 5263Rise early, as you witness the life of local people before breakfast. Take a short cycle through the village to Phnom Bok Hill, where a short trek will lead you to the top, revealing magnificent views. Descend upon the pretty temple of Banteay Srei, for lunch. Continue on to the Tonle Sap in a military style jeep before boarding a local sampan in order to visit Kampong Phluck, a village where you will see houses on stilts that are submerged when the Tonlé Sap Lake extends.
Tonight, enjoy a Khmer dinner at Viroth's, a stylish and comfortable restaurant set in a quiet garden. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 6 - Siem Reap - Departure (B)
